Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of a proposed commercial and residential development. Four trenches contained deposits of archaeological interest. Two trenches had a hard compacted layer of burnt flint that was possibly the surviving remains of a Roman road surface or was a levelled Bronze Age burnt mound. Two other agricultural ditches were encountered. [Au(adp)] |
