Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out on an area of rough ground near to the existing quarry. Trial trenching revealed three ditches and a shallow pit, all of which were undated. The ditches almost certainly represented previously existing field systems. The pit contained a layer of black organic rich fill which tended to indicate a recent date for the feature. [Au(abr)] |
