Abstract:		 The City walls were examined between chainages 2298 - 2383 to record changes, rebuilds or repairs carried out on this section. Little of the medieval city wall appeared to have survived on this section with much of the wall being rebuilt in the 19th century. Major repairs were carried out in 1877- 1878 up to the present day.
