Abstract: |
The evaluation recorded two small features to the south of the existing bungalow and one to the north. These features may have represented post holes. A silty clay deposit was recorded filling a curvi-linear feature, which may have represented a ring ditch and was associated with two possible stone pathways or surfaces. One fragment of late prehistoric Droitwich briquetage and two flint flakes were found close to these features, and this may have indicated a prehistoric date. The possible post holes recorded beneath the subsoil may have represented earlier features, which suggested the presence of stratified prehistoric deposits across the site. [Au(abr)] |
