Abstract: |
The evaluation was undertaken on the site of a proposed telecommunications mast. Only a limited range of artefacts were present; burnt flint occured in small quantities, and one single sherd of pottery, possibly of Bronze Age date was present. The presence of a low density and restricted range of material did not indicate intensive archaeological activity in the immediate vicinity. The presence of a single sherd of possible Bronze Age pottery was of note but its small size and unstratified context suggested it had been derived from elsewhere. [Au] |
