Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on the demolition of existing buildings and the construction of a two-storey unit with ancillary accommodation. Nothing of archaeological significance was identified on the site. The site appeared to have been open ground or under cultivation until the 19th century. The cellars of the previous buildings had truncated some areas of the site and the rest of the deposits recorded were of modern origin. [Au(abr)] |
