Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during works on a water main. Little of archaeological significance was discovered during the work, although post-medieval deposits were recorded at the base of most trenches and manholes. Well preserved wood and bone was discovered in Trench 7 at the north end of Church Street. It was recommended that any further work in the area, especially at the north end of Church Street be subject to an archaeological watching brief. [Au(adp)] |
