Abstract: |
A Romano-British ditch and gully were revealed within the northern footing line of the new extension. The Roman features yielded pottery of 2nd to 4th century date and were sealed by an undated clay-loam garden soil. No medieval deposits were encountered to elucidate the nature or extent of any structure predating the 16th-century manor house.[Au] |
