Abstract: |
There is evidence for prehistoric activity within the wider study area, no evidence of Romano-British period activity and evidence for early medival activity in the study area confined to place-name evidence. During the post-medieval period, there are some references to colliery activity in the study area. There references may provide clues to the orign of various earthwork features located within the site. [Au(abr)] |
