Abstract: |
The Sites and Monuments Record for Surrey recorded various findspots within a 2km radius of the assessment site, and also made documentary reference to two mills, and a bridge predating the one presently in existence. There was the potential for archaeological deposits of prehistoric date to be present on the site due to its position on the floodplain of the River Thames. It was considered likely that a phase of archaeological evaluation would be necessary. [AIP] |
