Abstract:
The watching brief involved the monitoring of the excavation of two service trenches, and the foundation trenches for a new building. The two service trenches revealed a sequence of foundation walls, along with a cobbled surface and a tiled floor which were associated with the Manor House which previously stood on the site. The foundation trenches revealed a layer of building demolition down to the natural sand horizon. [Au(abr)]
