Abstract: |
No evidence was found to suggest a pre-medieval land use. Field name evidence suggested that the bridge carrying the 'Wells Road' over the Brislington Brook was called Bath Bridge in the mid-19th century, by 1884 this had become 'Bears Bridge', although, the reason for this name change as not found.
