Abstract: |
A topographic survey was undertaken to evaluate the archaeological implications of proposed use of part of an area containing earthwork remains of ridge and furrow as a car park. It was argued that although construction of the car park would destroy some of the earthworks, careful presentation and on-site interpretation of the landscape history of the remaining earthworks to the general public would, to a degree, offset any damage to archaeological features.
