Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during topsoil stripping, as part of a continuing programme of work at a mineral extraction site. Work had been in progress for some days prior to the commencement of archaeological observations. During the watching brief, a small number of artefacts were collected, including fragments of post-medieval tile, a sherd of 14th century pottery, a flint flake and fragments of burnt flint. No archaeological features were observed. [AIP] |
