Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out on the site. Four phases of activity were identified. The first were 9th-11th century pits, ditches and gullies, sealed by a 13th century garden soil. Above this was a wall robbed out for a later stone building and dovecote. These were removed in the 18th century when the site was landscaped. [Au(abr)] |
