Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken during works associated with the refurbishment of Nafford Sluice. The works included the re-excavation and widening of a former channel, potentially thought to be a millrace associated with the historic mills recorded on the site. No features of archaeological interest were identified. The channel was found to be cut through recently made-up ground made of river silt and large fragments of modern concrete. [Au(abr)] |
