Abstract: |
The assessment identified limited archaeology within the survey area, although the site was in an area with a high density of archaeological sites of various periods. These included a significant number of linear features and rectilinear enclosures, probably part of a wider Iron Age or Romano British landscape, and evidence for a possible Roman villa site.
