Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation on land to the rear of 21 High Street revealed no archaeology despite Mesolithic activity having been identified on the banks of the River Lea in the area, and the site lying at the core of the medieval village. Disturbance was observed to a depth of 1.2m directly above alluvial silt (contaminated with hydrocarbons) and gravel. [Au(adp)] |
