Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained between the 5th September and 8th December 2006. A 2.10m by 1.40m trench was excavated to locate the current drain and new drainage trenching to an approximate cumulative length of 39.00m. An associated soakaway measuring 2.10m by 1.40m was also monitored as were two large deep trenches excavated for gas storage tanks and their associated service runs. With the exception of the end of a brick-built outbuilding of probable late 18th to early 19th century date, little of archaeological significance was encountered. [Au(abr)] |
