Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken in response to a planning condition upon the redevelopment of the site with 8 houses. The study revealed little potential for archaeological deposits surviving on the study site. This was due to destruction by 20th century redevelopment, geological movement and conditions and lack of significant evidence in the close proximity. It was argued that any further work undertaken on the site was unlikely to reveal significant archaeological deposits. If further work was deemed necessary, however, this could have taken the form of archaeological monitoring of geotechnical trial pits. [Au] |
