Abstract: |
The assessment concluded that it was clear from the SMR record that the archaeological potential of the site was very low. No archaeological material had been found specifically from the site. Evidence relating to earlier activity was sparse from the surrounding area. Early cartographic evidence revealed that the site was part of heathland until the early to mid-19th century, when documentary sources indicated that the area was planted with trees. [Au(adp)] |
