Abstract:
Geomagnetic survey and trial trenching was undertaken at Albemarle Barracks near Heddon-on-the-Wall prior to construction works. No evidence of archaeological features was found. A possible archaeological deposit was seen, but no artefacts were recovered, and it had been truncated by later developments on the base. No further archaeological work was recommended. [AIP]
