Abstract: |
During the course of the evaluation and standing buildng survey, features of 18th and 19th century date, including a line of post holes, were found adjacent to the pub buildings. The pub building was found to date from the period 1690-1740, although a significant quantity of unstratified earlier pottery, dating between the 13th and 17th centuries, suggested some earlier activity on the site.
