Abstract: |
55m of a Ha Ha revealed during an earlier evaluation was uncovered and a photographic survey and recording was underaken during the construction of an access road to the priory. The condition of the Ha Ha was found to be variable, although well preserved for much of its length the top had been disturbed in several areas by modern service runs. It had been truncated by a modern brick built structure at one point and had collapsed in places. The report concluded that its construction was likely to predate the landscaping of the parkland in the 18th and 19th centuries. [Au(adp)] |
