Abstract: |
An archaeological excavation was carried out in advance of the construction of retail units forming parts of the phase 2B redevelopment of Shields Road. Hadrian's wall survived in the eastern part of the site and on the berm of the wall were rows of pits. To the north, the outer row of pits had been truncated by a post-medieval culvert. [Au(adp)] |
