Abstract: |
The evaluation encountered natural brickearth clay overlain by a layer of re-deposited natural and sealed by a modern demolition horizon. Cut into the redeposited brickearth were a number of features dated to the 19th century and probably related to tenement buildings fronting onto Bentley Road. These included three small drains or soakaways, a well and a number of post holes. [Au(abr)] |
