Abstract: |
A single trench, 10m x 1.5m, was excavated. revealing buried soils. Dating evidence from these soils indicated the site had been under cultivation from at least the later 13th century. Truncating this soil were garden features of the 17th -18th century. Most of the topsoil had been recently removed and the ground level raised with building rubble. [Au(adp)] |
