Abstract: |
The report forms a design for the restoration of, and research into, the Elizabethan and later post-medieval gardens associated with Hylton Castle. Studies of similar sites were made. Suggestions for the methodology for the project, (including excavation and geophysical survey) were put forward along with an explanation of the benefits the project would bring to the local community.
