Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out on the reconstruction of the Kirkley - Whalton 20 KV Overhead Line, running through a Deserted Medieval Village of Scheduled Ancient Monument status. The pole settings made a slight intrusion into the archaeological deposits in the tail end of an embankment. Another pole setting was placed with a gap in between the enclosures, possibly an access way from the village to the fields. [Au(adp)] |
