Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of the proposed construction of a single-storey storage facility and car parking area. Three trenches were excavated, revealing a number of medieval features which may have represented the establishment of a medieval field system contemporaneous with the construction of the adjacent St Nicholas's Church, and the formalisation of the village layout in the 12th century.
