Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation comprising three trial trenches was carried out in the existing building of former Warwick Printing immediately outside the medieval eastern town defences of Warwick. An undated post hole and large post-medieval quarry pit pre-dating the mid-19th century Candle Manufactory were recorded. Brick walls and flooring from Candy Manufactory were overlain by rubble from its demolition, in turn overlaid by the concrete floors of the existing modern print works building. [Au] |
