Abstract: |
Archaeological desk-based assessment and field evaluation located undated and medieval features, under levels of demolition debris. Density of archaeological features across the site was generally low. Cartographic evidence did not indicate much activity on the site in late post-medieval times, with the proposed area remaining mostly undeveloped into this century, it was also likely that the site lay beyond the limits of the historic village centre. It was considered likely that redevelopment would have only a limited impact on archaeological deposits on the site. [Au(adp)] |
