Abstract: |
The evaluation demonstrated that a Roman site to the west of the school did not extend eastwards as far as the development area, but that there were deposits of medieval and post-medieval date. These seemed to be indicative of agricultural activity, presumably relating to the earlier settlement history of Bardnards Green, which was the probable successor to the medieval manor of Baldenhall.
