Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out to observe the excavation of a trench for a new lamp post within the Scheduled Area of Warwick Priory (Warwickshire Monument No. 172). The trench was located to the south of the bottom of the steps to the main entrance of the Record Office. It measured 0.35m x 0.37m x 0.80m deep, and was cut through dark brown sandy loam. Two modern pipes were observed but no significant archaeological features were disturbed.[AIP] |
