Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during geotechnical test pits and boreholes in the rampart and moat of the post-medieval fort which is a Scheduled Ancient Monument (20210). The trial pits revealed dump deposits that formed the earthwork. The trial pits were small and deep and no in situ investigation of the strata was possible. [AIP]
