Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a grain store, which lay within the area of an Iron Age settlement partly revealed during excavations at an immediately adjacent site. An enclosure ditch corresponding to a feature recorded during a magnetometer survey in 1976 was found, and several features of unknown archaeological potential were noted. Iron Age pottery and fragments of bone were recovered. It was concluded that the proposed new building would affect part of the interior of the Iron Age enclosure. [AIP] |
