Abstract: |
No archaeological remains were recorded from the assessment area, but the site was located to the west of the historic core of Ely, in an area which had probably been characterised by ribbon development since the later Middle Ages. Cartographic sources revealed that much of the site had remained as a garden or orchard until recent times, characterised by the presence of the old public house and a few out-buildings. [Au] |
