Abstract:
Archaeological trenching revealed little archaeological evidence of any significance, other than features indicitive of widespread medieval and later farming practices. Most of the trenches revealed modern field drains. Plough furrows, field lynchets and a possible township boundary ditch were also recorded. Trenches five and six revealed the only potentially significant archaeological evidence in the form of patches of charcoal and associated deposits which proved to be of Iron Age date. [Au(abr)]
