Abstract: |
An evaluation of the proposed school site to the north east of the parish church at Newton Regis, near Tamworth, produced no evidence of datable occupation, a shallow ditch of unknown date being the only feature detected. Earthworks in the form of house platforms to the west and ridge and furrow to the east suggested that the ditch might represent a field boundary on the edge of the medieval village.[AIP] |
