Abstract:		 A watching brief was undertaken on excavations carried out prior to the construction of a new parade ground and several administrative buildings. No archaeological remains were found in any of the areas, the deposits found appearing to relate to the development of the site for military purposes from the 19th century. There was nothing to suggest that earlier occupation took place on the site. [Au(abr)]
