Abstract: |
Groundworks for a new hospital building exposed natural deposits and modern layers and features. No archaeologically significant features or deposits were observed. The site was heavily damaged by early modern and modern disturbance, particularly by a large gravel quarry on the west side. Ancient deposits might survive below a thick modern later on the east side. Unstratified finds comprised prehistoric flints and post-medieval or later ceramics. [Au] |
