Abstract: |
An archaeological trench was excavated across the site in advance of development in an area investigated during an earlier evaluation. The excavation trench overlay the proposed area of a balance bank adjacent to a proposed new road and revealed a continuation of a ditch, first investigated during the evaluation, tentatively dated to the early prehistoric period (Neolithic/Bronze Age). Additional finds, principally pottery and struck flint, were recovered. In addition pits and small post holes/stake holes were recorded. These contained no finds. [Au(adp)] |
