Abstract: |
An evaluation of part of St Thomas' Burial Ground, proposed for redevelopment, identified the presence of inhumations within the proposal area. Two burial vaults, one containing a lead-lined coffin and the second which had collapsed, were revealed and considerable quantities of human bone recovered. 18th and 19h century brick-lined burial shafts were also revealed.
