Abstract: |
A review of documentary, geological, archival and cartographic sources has indicated that the site lies in an area known to have high archaeological potential. The main reason for this potential is the substantial evidence for Roman Watling Street and the Roman activity adjacent to this. An archaeological watching brief should be undertaken to observe any intrusive ground works excavated during the re-landscaping of the golf course. [Au(abr)] |
