Abstract: |
A trial trench evaluation was undertaken in response to a planning condition. An earlier evaluation and watching brief conducted on the same site had revealed a possible prehistoric trackway/holloway and related features. The current evaluation confirmed the presence of archaeological features within the area of proposed development, and the associated ceramic evidence suggested an Early/Middle and Late Iron Age date. A Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowhead was found in a later feature. [Au(abr)] |
