Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained during the groundworks associated with the replacement of a water main between Needs Bridge and Well Land Farm, Partridge Green. An approximately 5m to 6m wide easement was stripped of topsoil along the route of the pipeline but no archaeological features were located. A few pieces of burnt flint were collected from the machined surface. Intermittent monitoring of the deep trench into which the pipe was laid also failed to locate any archaeological features. [Au] |
