Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed no archaeological features in trench 1. Trench 2 found service trenches related to activities during the occupation of the area by the HMS Ganges Training Establishment. Trench 3 had similar ash and clinker layer as trench 2. Trench 4 found no obvious evidence of activity. Trench 5 contained a cut feature a possible pit of unknown purpose. Trench 6 was located in an area of marshland but the ash and clinker layer was also found here. [Au(adp)] |
