Abstract:
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks at a development site which lay within a Zone of Archaeological Interest. A Roman road passed nearby, whilst a Roman settlement and a possible burial group had been identified in the vicinity. An evaluation at the site itself had revealed two probable post-medieval features. During the watching brief, only modern features and artefacts were observed. [AIP]
