Abstract: |
Two of the four trenches excavated at the site contained extensive 19th century brick footings relating to a building that appeared to have fronted the High Street. A third trench revealed a truncated ditch or gully, a post hole and a cess pit. No archaeological features were recorded in the fourth trench. Made ground was present across the site. [Au(abr)] |
