Abstract: |
Six trenches were excavated. Environmental samples were taken from a possible prehistoric or Roman ditch, (cut by a later V shaped ditch), and when analysed suggested a marshy environment. This ditch was in turn sealed by an alluvial deposit, upon which a burnt clay feature, possibly associated with Iron Age or Roman salt works found nearby. [Au(adp)] |
